Guess what friends! The madness is happening AGAIN! Cecilia’s family is moving into our house this week! She jokes, “Ready or not, here we come!” 😉 You guys might remember that we lived at her house for 9 months while we were building our current house. Now it’s their turn! They will have our whole basement to themselves, so I told Cecilia that she can decorate the basement however she wanted. As you know, we have two completely different styles even though we’re twin sisters. She has a modern eclectic style and I have a farmhouse coastal style, so I’m excited to see how she decorates the basement!
The dining table is definitely one of our favorite areas to decorate/style. There are so many different types of dining tables, and you can find a variety of dining tables for small spaces at World Market. Once you have the table, add some fun dining chairs to it to incorporate your style! Now it’s time for the fun part…styling your tablescape! Some people only put a centerpiece on the table and call it a day. That’s totally fine, but you can add so much more and style it up by adding a table runner, chargers, plates, silverware, and napkins.

When Cecilia is done decorating the dining area, she can definitely work on the basement living space. The basement living room needs some love because decorating that area has always been on the bottom of my priority list. Thank goodness World Market offers furniture for small living rooms!
I don’t share a lot of pictures of my basement, but we do have a bar area there. While decorating the basement, Cecilia needs to take some pointers from Design Expert Nicole Curtis who introduces their hostess to a better way to bar-the rolling bar cart from Cost Plus World Market. Practical enough to store cocktail essentials yet pretty enough to show off at parties. Loooove it!!
