revamp your foyer for the holidays

This post is sponsored by esalerugs, but all ideas and opinions are our own.

I’ve gone through different holiday decor stages.  A few years ago, I went very neutral and lots of glitter with touches of burlap.  Last year, I added touches of red into my holiday decor.  This year, I decided to stick with the red accents.  There’s just something about those red tones that makes me happy and think of “All I Want For Christmas Is You” song by Mariah Carey. 😉

I want to show you how you can revamp your foyer for the holidays by just adding red into your decor.  Let’s start off with the basics though.  The rug!  I LOVE this rug that I received from eSaleRugs!  I went with the white jute rug!  It’s 100% jute, and I just love how the neutral white goes with my green and red holiday decor.

I get lots of questions on my front door color, and the paint color is Silver Strand by Sherwin Williams.  I decided to put a red wreath on the inside of my front door, and the wreath complements that door so well.

Next up is this little space by the staircase.  You can never have enough Christmas trees…especially flocked ones!  I got these flocked trees from Wal-mart last year.  One is 4 ft and the other is 3 ft.  With Cecilia’s suggestion, I added stems of berries that I got from Hobby Lobby to add that hint of red to the trees.

This red basket I’ve had for awhile. I used this as a photography prop when we used to do photography.  We filled the basket with pillows that I got from Target last year in the One Spot area.  Then we added some berry stems and eucalyptus in the basket to carry on the berry theme.

Yes, my banister still needs some holiday love, but baby steps right?  That’s for a different blog post 😉

Some people might think I’m cray-cray for picking out a white rug for the foyer, but I have no regrets!  We’ve had a good amount of traffic on this rug from eSalerugs and it doesn’t get dirty.  Here’s a close up of the rug!

There’s something about jute rugs that I love… the texture and how it can go in any room!  I have a jute rug in my dining room, mudroom, the boys’ bathroom, and now my foyer.  ESaleRugs has a variety of jute rugs, and they offer over 25,000 other rugs to choose from!
