A Trip to Remember with Hunter Fan Company | Niña and Cecilia

I have so many trips that I want to share with you from earlier this year.  First up is the Hunter Fan Company Capital of Cool trip to Austin, TX this summer!  We were sent the itinerary before the trip, and I was so excited for what Hunter Fan Co. had planned for us!  Below is everything from the trip…enjoy! 😉

HOTEL

We stayed at the South Congress Hotel, and OMG!  This place was so hip and cool.  Probably the “coolest” hotel I’ve ever stayed at. 😉  It’s located at the perfect location which is right on South Congress.  Also, Café No Sé is right next door to the hotel, and Cecilia and I actually ate there last year when we went to Austin.

When I got to my room, the itinerary and these goodies were on the bed.

Here are all the bloggers on the trip!  I am standing next to such talented ladies!  Four of the bloggers I met for the first time, and three of them I already knew from connecting through the Instagram home decor community and a previous trip.

Southern Living Idea House

When I saw the itinerary, I was most excited about the Southern Living Idea House tour.  I love touring houses (new or old) and seeing the latest trends.  It was such an honor meeting Meredith Ellis, the designer of the house.  She brought so much color into the home.  I need to learn some things from her since I’m such a neutral decorator!  Meredith walked us through the house and explained her design for each space.  Patrick O’Connoll, the Design Director for Hunter Fan Co., also explained each Hunter Fan in the house.

I was obsessed with the front porch!

The dining room was gorgeous!

The kitchen island is massive, and I LOVE the lantern pendants!

I love the green tones in the library which is in the master bedroom.

The fan in the master bedroom is the Brunswick.

Another area I was drooling over was the master bathroom!

The fan in the sunroom was the Bennett.  This room had a hidden door to the powder room as you can see in the image below.

There was a guest bedroom on the main level, and the fan in that room was the Wingate

There were two bedrooms upstairs…One was decorated for a boy and the other for a girl.

The fan in the boys’ bedroom is the Signal

The back porch is my dream back porch.  I love the hanging lanterns and the porch swing bed.  The fan out there was the Cassius fan.

Best of Austin Food Tour by Austin Eats

After the Southern Living Idea House tour, it was time to stuff our faces at the Austin Eats Food Tour.  Our tour guide was Ali Kahn from the Food Network and Cooking Channel.  The food was so delicious, and we stopped at Odd Duck, Flying Carpet, La Barbeque, Fareground ATX, and Churro & Co.

Blanton Museum of Art

The next day we went to the Blanton Museum of Art, and we did a little scavenger hunt throughout the day.  I didn’t win the scavenger hunt, but it was still a lot of fun!

 An Amazing Trip!

One activity we did was design a mood board.  First we picked a Hunter Fan, and then we used fabric, magazines, and swatches to create our mood boards.

I picked the Hepburn fan, and I love how mine turned out!   You know how I love soft pinks and blues.

Thank you so much Hunter Fan Co. for having me on this trip!  They kept us busy with fun activities, took us to wonderful restaurants, I got to meet new blogger friends, and got to hang out with some of my Instagram besties!  It was a wonderful trip, and I left there feeling so inspired!
